Project SYNCERE is a Chicago-based non-profit whose mission is to prepare the minds and create pathways for underrepresented and disadvantaged students to pursue careers in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).

Through our project-based learning curriculum, we have provided STEM educational opportunities for more than 18,000 students throughout Chicago, with the majority of these programs taking place on Chicago's south and west side.
UCAN is a Chicago-based nonprofit social services agency located in North Lawndale that strives to build strong youth and families through compassionate healing, education and empowerment. Their promise is to advocate for and provide opportunities that change lives through impactful programs, consistent presence and unrivaled diversity and inclusion.

Founded 150 years ago as a Civil War orphanage, UCAN has a long history of creating safe and caring spaces for youth and families to grow. UCAN serves and impacts over 21,000 at-risk children, youth and families across Illinois. They provide a continuum of care that centers around youth development, mental health services, violence intervention and prevention services, workforce development and alumni services.
